Run it Twice at Carbon Poker
Posted by admin
Carbon Poker, the main poker room on the Merge Gaming Network, has implemented a unique feature to its games, one which players will be hard-pressed to find at most other online poker rooms. Players at Carbon will now have the option to run it twice.
Perhaps prompted by the popularity of High Stakes Poker, where it is frequently seen, running it twice, or dealing it twice as its called at Carbon, is available at real money no-limit holdem games. When two people (and only two) are all-in, they can opt to have the turn and river dealt two times (even if they are all-in pre-flop, it will still only be the turn and river dealt twice). If one player wins both times, he wins the pot. If each player wins one of the hands, the pot is split.
Those who play for high stakes often like to run it twice in situations where the odds dont strongly favor either player because it reduces variance, evening out luck a bit. At Carbon, players will not be allowed to see each others cards before choosing to deal it twice.
Those who do not ever wish to implement this feature can simply turn it off so it is never an option.
Carbon Poker has also introduced its own bad beat jackpot tables. These will be select holdem tables where fifty cents will be taken from the pot to feed the jackpot. Qualification for the jackpot is losing with quad sevens or better at showdown, using both hole cards.
