After a close loss to their nearby rival Miami Dolphins, the Jacksonville Jaguars will take on another in-state opponent when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium Saturday night. This week respected publications Forbes and the LA Times commented on Congressman Barney Frank’s bill HR 2267, which seeks to licence and regulate online gambling in the United States. The American Gaming Association spent $360,000 – an increase over the $326,000 it spent last year in the same period – in Q2/2010 lobbying, mandatory disclosure filings have revealed. However, the Q2 spend is considerably lower than Q1/2010′s expenditure on lobbying which amounted to $430,000. The Association represents major land casino operations in the US and has most recently adopted a neutral political stance on the legalisation of online gambling in the United States.
